LSI Wireless Wind Speed Indicators provide users with the following features:
  • Display shows current wind speed value and wind speed limit setting
  • User settable wind speed limit
  • Display will output audible and visual alarms
  • Standard wind gust alarm
  • Direct Sequence-Spread Spectrum-Two Way Communication
  • Transmission range: 3,200 feet; 1,000 meters
  • Ships as standard with 1-"D" Cell lithium battery, 2-4 years battery life
  • Users can replace lithium battery with "D" Cell alkaline battery if lithium replacement battery is unavailable when battery goes low. Battery life is 6 months to 1 year using alkaline
  • User replaceable wind cups
  • Potted electronics for increased water proof protection
  • Operating temperature: -30F to +180F; -35C to +85
  • 2 year warranty against defects
  • Display can data log wind event history, download data to Palm Pilot via displays infrared port
  • Optional lockouts can be connected to display
  • Wind speed sensor will not transmit when display is powered off-this saves battery life
  • External antennas increases transmission range as compared to internal antennas
  • User replaceable antenna
